"Ms. Hemmer truly saved my life"
with her support during some of toughest mental health battles in middle school. More recently, she's helped me feel confident in my decision to be a stay-at-home-mom and helps me remember that my value isn't determined by what others perceive.

"Kristi's energy and enthusiasm"
are infectious and her deep subject matter expertise and personal experiences combine to provide an impactful learning experience. For a group of relatively privileged, middle aged men seeking to understand how to do better, Kristi created an environment in which we could be authentic, vulnerable and truly understand how we might actually be getting in the way of the women we had intended to accelerate into leadership roles within our firm.

"Kristi introduced me to a new way of thinking."
She challenged me to think about purpose and intention. When I was selected for a special assignment at work she would ask 'why do think they chose you?' which forced me to really see and articulate my value.

"AWE Inspired me to start my own business."
So far, I am working on 2 projects one in Uganda and one in the US. Seeing and working with Kristi gave me the belief and self-confidence that I too could put a dent in the universe and make my mark.

From Kristi's LinkedIn — bite-sized bursts of MOXIE.
Happy Birthday to my baby! She turned FIVE yesterday. I'm SO proud of my book "Quit Being So Good." She's saved lives, changed lives, and has 5,000 copies out in the world (and counting). "Quit Being So Good" is an intentional gift for International Women's Day, Women's History Month, birthday pressie, Mother's Day pressie, graduation pressie, and even Father's Day pressie.
This #InternationalWomensDay, I want to thank all the women who helped this little girl become an unapologetic woman. And for all the women who help her now. #MoxieOn.
I was working on my children's book about MOXIE — a girl who is 8 or so, competitive, fierce, and doesn't like to lose on the soccer field — and I got stuck. So I interviewed K (pictured). She's 8, LOVES chickens (has 14!), and plays travel soccer. She gave me ideas on challenges she faces, her self-talk ("We're gonna win!"), and how her dad is her best fan. Not only am I unstuck, I believe in the world again.
Happy Women's History Month and almost International Women's Day! Although some calendar apps no longer include them, women are not going anywhere. How are you celebrating? I'll be tabling One Good Deed Women's Day Market on Saturday from 12pm–3pm at Hopkins Activity Center. It's a free event to celebrate women doing good in the world. Join me and other changemakers — who are not going anywhere.
